Full transparency. Every cent from every game sale is accounted for — and 30% goes directly to trees, schools, and farming education.
Planting, replanting, pruning, invasive species removal, fire break maintenance, and monitoring at The Grove.
Bringing the game to schools, creating lesson plans, funding farmer grants for field days, workshops, and agricultural training.
Illustration, printing, packaging, shipping, fulfilment, and all the costs of putting a physical game in your hands.
We do not hide behind vague claims. Every year, we publish exactly how much was raised, how many trees were planted, how many schools received the game, and how many restoration activities funded. Backers see the full financial breakdown. Transparent and accountable.
10% of every game sale funds native tree planting and long-term land care at The Grove — a 10-hectare degraded dryland slope in central Portugal being restored one tree at a time.
This is not a carbon-offset scheme. It is a hands-on restoration project. Funds go towards planting and replanting native seedlings, pruning to encourage healthy growth, removal of invasive species that threaten native ecosystems, fire break maintenance to protect the land, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation to track survival rates and ecological recovery. Every action is documented and published to all backers.
See The Grove →Knowledge grows the future. This fund has two missions: put the game in the hands of students, and put farmers in the field where they learn best.
In schools: We donate game copies to classrooms in vulnerable communities, develop ready-to-use lesson plans aligned with environmental science curricula, and partner with educators to turn gameplay into real learning about agroforestry, climate resilience, and sustainable land management.
For farmers: We fund grants for smallholder farmers — particularly in lower-income contexts — to attend agriculture field days, join permaculture design courses, participate in hands-on workshops, and access practical training they could not otherwise afford. Every funded farmer walks away with knowledge they can apply to their land the very next season.
Partnerships with local agricultural organisations and schools provide credible, established channels for fund disbursement. Every funded school, every sponsored farmer — a real story, shared with our community.
70% of every sale goes into making the game exist. That means paying illustrators and designers to bring every card to life, printing on responsibly sourced card stock, packaging, quality control, and shipping the finished product to your door.
It also covers the less visible work: game design and playtesting, website development, community management, customer support, and the operational costs of running a small, independent studio. Every card you hold went through dozens of iterations before it earned its place in the deck.
We are a small team, and this game is made with care — not by a factory line, but by people who believe that a card game can change how we think about farming, forests, and our future.
Every school that receives the game, every farmer who attends a workshop — that is a story. As the programme grows, this is where their journeys will live.
Every game sold splits its revenue between making the game, planting trees, and bringing farming education to schools and farmers who need it most. No hidden fees, no vague promises.
